IC Realtime IVS Legend

Tripwire

Trip Wire is an IVS function where the user can define a line that will trigger an event when crossed. The Trip Wire rule can be configured so the IVS event fire off when someone crosses the Trip Wire line inbound, outbound, or both inbound and outbound

Use cases include: Trip wires around sensitive areas, parking spaces, restricted areas, and ore.

Intrusion

Intrusion Detection is to detect if there is any object entering or leaving the area, it will trigger rule when crossing the area perimeter, support enter, leave and enter&leave three direction selection, it can activate record, snapshot and alarm according to the judgment result.

Application Scene: It is similar to warning line. It needs to leave some space for target movement outside the perimeter if it is to detect enter and leave event; It can only be applied to the scene where the target is sparse and there is rarely any covering between the targets, such as the perimeter without any guard. It will trigger alarm when the target is entering or leaving the area.

Scene Change

Video scene change function is used to detect if the camera is covered or moved and other abnormalities of monitoring scene change.

The intelligence base will compare the images before and after being covered or turned to judge if there is any similarity; if not it will generate an alarm.

Abandoned/Missing

With the Abandoned Object IVS function, the camera monitors and takes reference frames of the scene of the image during normal conditions.

If the 'normal' scene of the image becomes disturbed and a new object is detected for a specific amount of time, the camera IVS function will fire off an 'Abandoned' object alert.

With Missing Object, the opposite logic is applied. Reference frames are gathered to build a normal reference image, and a Missing Object alert will be fired off if a portion of the Reference image disappears from the reference images.

Use cases for Abandoned Object include: Train Stations, Metro Travel Stations, Airport etc where dangerous or malicious packages may be left behind to cause acts of terror.

Use cases for Missing object include: Retail establishments, Jewelry stores, Museums etc where valuable objects may be subjected to theft.

Face Detection

Face detection is to detect if there is any human face appearing in the video, and capture the face then send it to the NVR for analysis and processing, it can activate snapshot, record and alarm.

People Counting

People counting is an IVS rule used to count people throughout a specific region of an image. Users of this function can draw a quadrant for detection atop the video scene to count people entering a region, as well as exiting a region.

Use cases for People Counting include: Retail establishments, Public Events or Festivals, and many other applications where knowing the quantity of people are considered valuable metrics. Primary use case is Retail industry.

Heatmap

As the name suggests, Heat Map will draw a 'thermographic' chart atop your normal video image. The Heat Map will draw different colors depending on amount of activity in a region (ranging from Blue (minimal activity detected in a zone) to Red (heavy traffic detected in a region). Heat Map reports will return invaluable data about your video scene, allowing you to understand where the most and least activity are within any given scene.

Use cases for Heat Map: Retail, Public Events, Festivals, Business. Primary use case at this time is again the Retail Industry.

PTZ IVS Auto Tracking

Imagine a PTZ that controlled itself - one that moved when objects came within the image, and Panned, Tilted and Zoomed on the target automatically. IVS cameras that support Auto Tracking can have a defined 'home' position (called a scene) where the camera will await an object to enter a specified quadrant.

PTZ cameras that contain this feature also typically contain strong optical zoom capabilities, meaning that Auto Tracking Cameras will work best from higher elevations, or when covering longer distances.

Use cases for PTZ Auto Tracking include: Warehouses, Parking Lots, and Wide areas of surveillance where there is not a dedicated PTZ operator to drive the image.
